Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My husband always says that I form the heart of the business. Starting off in accounting as a registered CPA, I left my corporate job to start my own business in 2017. The business has grown very quickly since, with Yes Yes now a network of 4 (soon to be 6) stores. Jay, my husband, is the ‘brains’, running the operations of the business. We have a 12 year old daughter who is an integral part of the family business and inspires me every day.
What has your journey been with Yes Yes Indian?
Starting in 2017, Yes Yes saw very quick growth with the business now hiring over 43 people from the local area and within the community. I am very proud of where the business is today. We have gained inspiration to start our own business after seeing big supermarkets like Tesco and wishing we could do this in our own way for the community.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love to travel. Traditionally the family would have spent a large proportion of the year in India, however COVID has other plans. We can’t wait to be united with family again soon.
What are you most excited about at Woodlea Town?
It is something Yes Yes is very proud of. Yes Yes is excited to be joining the Woodlea community, and believe it is an honour and privilege to be working together. We love being a part of the community, and see Woodlea as another opportunity to really embed in a community and support it in any way we can. We want to do good for the people of Woodlea, as we know that a lot of residents have followed a similar path to our family.
